DVB-RCS TECHNOLOGY

DVB-RCS stands for Digital Video Broadcasting with Return Channel over Satellite.

It is an ESA (Europena Space Agency) standard.

A DVB-RCS network consists from a Satellite in Space, a central Satellite Ground Station (HUB) and the remote satellite interactive terminals at the customers sites.

The return channel over the Satellite is the main difference between older Satellite Systems that used land lines for return communication.

DVB-RCS main advantages over Vsat systems (point to point two-way communication systems), is the much lower cost of customer equipment, also lower cost of customer satellite service fees (on shared schemes) and the fact that the end user doesn't need technical knowledge. Although VSAT systems can be interesting in certain applications, so contact us and our engineering team can help you decide what is best for your requirements.
